Implementation · the full lifecycle of an SAP project
An SAP implementation carried from blueprint to go-live, and beyond.
We carry out SAP implementations from the first workshop to the first month of live running: understanding how the business really works, configuring the system, building the extensions it needs, moving the data, testing with your people, preparing the cutover and supporting the first weeks. We work in phases, so that you see progress and the risks surface early, and we tell you plainly when something should be standard and when it should not.
What you get
What is included in ERP Application Deployment
Blueprinting and process harmonization
Agree how the business will run on the system, and where processes should be made standard.
Configuration and add-ons
Set up the system for your finance, sales, stock, purchasing and operations, and build the extensions it needs.
Data extraction, cleansing and migration
Move master and open data from the old systems, clean it on the way, and reconcile at each rehearsal.
Testing and acceptance
Test the processes end to end with your people, and agree the sign-off before anything goes live.
Training and cutover
Train by role, plan the cutover carefully and support people through the first live weeks.
Hypercare and support
Close support after go-live, then a move to ongoing support or to your own team.
Is it the right one?
Where it fits, and where it does not
We would rather you choose the right thing than the one we happen to be discussing.
A strong fit when
- You are replacing spreadsheets, accounting software or an older ERP.
- You have chosen an SAP solution and need a team to implement it.
- You want one team accountable for design, build, data and go-live.
- You want the system to follow your processes where they matter and the standard where they do not.
Look at something else when
- You have not yet decided which SAP solution to use: begin with IT Consulting or the SAP overview, which compares them.
- You only need support for a system already running: see Application Support.
- You want a fixed date before the scope is understood: we set the timescale after the blueprint, not before.
How we run it
How we run ERP Deployment
Every engagement runs in phases, so the business sees progress and risks surface early. The timescale for each phase is set after an assessment, not before.
Prepare
Confirm the solution, the scope and the team, and set up governance.
Blueprint
Workshops with your process owners to design how the business will run on the system.
Build
Configure and extend the system in stages, showing progress as it is built.
Migrate and test
Rehearse the data migration, test the processes end to end and fix what turns up.
Cut over
Train, prepare and go live, with a plan for the first days and a way to decide if anything must be reversed.
Hypercare
Close support through the first weeks, then hand to ongoing support.
Questions we are asked
ERP Deployment: questions and answers
Which SAP solutions do you implement?
SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public and Private Edition), SAP Business One, SAP Business ByDesign, SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Customer Checkout. The solutions pages say which suits which business.
How long will our implementation take?
It depends on the solution, the scope, your data and how many entities and locations are involved. We set the timescale after the blueprint, with a plan for each phase, and we do not quote a figure before we understand the scope.
What do you need from us?
People who know how the business runs and can decide, a project owner, and time for workshops and testing. An implementation succeeds or fails on the involvement of the business, and we plan what we ask of you from the start.
