Managed service · monitoring, patching and helpdesk
Day-to-day IT looked after under a service level you have agreed.
We take on the running of your IT: monitoring, patching, a helpdesk for your people, user and device administration and regular reviews, under a service agreement that sets out what is covered and how fast we respond. You get a team that knows your systems, a regular report on what happened and what is at risk, and the freedom to spend your own time on the business.
What you get
What is included in Managed IT Services
System health monitoring
Watch servers, networks, backups and services, and act on warnings early.

Joiners, movers and leavers, accounts, permissions and the devices people use.
Backup checks
Regular confirmation that backups ran, and test restores on a schedule.
Executive technology reviews
A regular review with leadership of what happened, what is at risk and what to do next.
Is it the right one?
Where it fits, and where it does not
We would rather you choose the right thing than the one we happen to be discussing.
A strong fit when
- You have no IT team, or one person who cannot be on call for everything.
- Patches and updates happen when someone remembers.
- Problems are reported by users and not found by anyone first.
- You want predictable IT support without hiring a whole team.
Look at something else when
- You have a capable in-house team and want one specialist skill: ask us for that instead, as a project or as application support.
- You want a fixed price for anything and everything: a managed service has a defined scope, and we set it out clearly.
- You run systems we cannot support: we say what we can take on, and what we cannot.
How we run it
How we run Managed IT
Every engagement runs in phases, so the business sees progress and risks surface early. The timescale for each phase is set after an assessment, not before.
Assess
Take stock of your systems, users and risks, and fix the urgent items.
Agree the service
Define what is covered, the response times, the reporting and the cost, in writing.
Onboard
Install monitoring, document the estate and bring users onto the helpdesk.
Run
Monitor, patch, support and administer, and keep the records current.
Review
Meet regularly to look at the reports, the risks and what is changing in the business.
Improve
Use what we find to plan the projects that would make the estate simpler and safer.
Questions we are asked
Managed IT: questions and answers
What response times do you commit to?
Response times are agreed with you, by priority, and written into the service agreement. They depend on the scope you choose, so we set them out with you rather than quoting a single figure.
Can you work alongside our own IT people?
Yes. Some clients use us for monitoring, patching and out-of-hours cover while their own team works on projects; others use us in place of an internal team. We agree who does what.
What do we do if we want to stop?
The agreement says how to end it and what we hand back: the documentation, the credentials and the records. We keep the estate documented throughout, so that nobody is locked in.
