Core ERP · cloud suite for midsize businesses

SAP Business ByDesign: a complete cloud ERP for growing, multi-entity businesses.

A complete, single-cloud enterprise resource planning platform for fast-growing midsize businesses and multi-entity organizations that need scalable standardization, quick time to value and no on-premise infrastructure to look after. It is a long-established SAP cloud ERP of its own, separate from SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Capabilities

What SAP Business ByDesign covers

  • Cloud SaaS, nothing to host

No server hardware to maintain and no manual database updates; SAP runs the platform, including security patches, backups and availability.

  • Pre-built best-practice scenarios

Pre-configured end-to-end scenarios across finance, project management, CRM and supply chain shorten the road to go-live.

  • Multi-company and intercompany

Consolidate subsidiary ledgers, balance intercompany trades and produce group reports across several tax zones.

  • Sales, service and projects

Customer management, service and project accounting in the same system as finance, so margins are visible job by job.

  • Procurement and inventory

Purchasing, stock and fulfilment processes with real-time balances across locations.

  • Built-in analytics and KPIs

Dashboards and KPI monitors on live data, so managers do not wait for a report to be built.

Is it the right one?

Where it fits, and where it does not

We would rather you choose the right thing than the one we happen to be discussing.

A strong fit when

  • You want a complete ERP in the cloud quickly, with no infrastructure to run.
  • You are a subsidiary of a larger group and need a standard ERP linked to headquarters.
  • You run projects, services or trading and need finance, projects, CRM and supply chain in one system.
  • You prefer to adopt a standard solution rather than build custom processes.

Look at something else when

  • You have complex or industry-specific processes that need an enterprise suite: SAP S/4HANA or one of its Cloud editions is the fit.
  • You need deep modification of the standard software: SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) or the Private Edition give more room.
  • You are a smaller business that wants a lighter start: SAP Business One is often the better size.

How we deliver

How Abrimatt delivers ByDesign

Every engagement runs in phases, so the business sees progress and risks surface early. The timescale for each phase is set after an assessment, not before.

  1. Rapid scoping

Choose the scenarios you need and adjust them to how you work, with clear boundaries on what stays standard.

  2. Finance and multi-currency setup

Charts of accounts, multi-currency and intercompany ledgers, and the controls your auditors expect.

  3. Integration

Connect web stores, banks and logistics systems through APIs.

  4. Data migration

Cleanse and load master data, open items and balances, with reconciliation at each rehearsal.

  5. Authorizations and compliance

Role design and audit-ready segregation of duties.

  6. Release advisory

For every feature release from SAP: what changes, what to test and when to switch it on.

Questions we are asked

ByDesign: questions and answers

How is SAP Business ByDesign different from SAP S/4HANA Cloud?

SAP Business ByDesign is a separate, long-established cloud ERP aimed at midsize companies and subsidiaries, with a single standard solution and its own release cycle. SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public and Private Edition) is SAP's flagship ERP in the cloud and suits larger organizations and a wider range of requirements. We compare the options for your size and plans.

Can SAP Business ByDesign handle several companies and currencies?

Yes. Multi-company, multi-currency and intercompany processes are part of the design, and we set them up with your auditors and tax advisers in mind.

Can SAP Business ByDesign be adapted and connected to our other systems?

Within its standard solution, yes: scoped extensions adapt it to the way you work, and APIs connect it to web stores, banks, logistics providers and other software. We agree with you in advance which parts stay standard and which are adapted, so that updates from SAP stay easy to adopt.
