Procurement & spend · cloud applications

SAP Ariba: bring spend, suppliers and procurement under one governed process.

SAP Ariba is a suite of cloud applications for sourcing, procurement and supplier collaboration, connected to the SAP Business Network where buyers and suppliers trade. It helps procurement teams buy through approved channels, manage supplier risk and contracts, and see where the money goes, whether the ERP behind it is SAP or not.

Capabilities

What SAP Ariba covers

  • Strategic sourcing

Run requests for quotation and auctions, compare bids side by side, and award on the criteria you set.

  • Contract management

Author, store and track contracts and renewals, and link them to the buying that follows.

  • Guided buying

A simple, consumer-style way to buy through approved catalogs and policies, so spend stays compliant.

  • Supplier lifecycle and risk

Onboard suppliers, collect documents and performance data, and keep watch for risk.

  • Invoicing and payables

Match invoices to orders and receipts, handle exceptions, and speed up approvals.

  • Spend visibility

Analytics across categories, suppliers and business units, to see where money goes and where to act.

Is it the right one?

Where it fits, and where it does not

We would rather you choose the right thing than the one we happen to be discussing.

A strong fit when

  • Purchasing is spread across teams, and spend outside agreed channels is hard to see.
  • You want a consistent, auditable path from request to payment.
  • Supplier onboarding, compliance documents or performance reviews run on email and spreadsheets.
  • You run SAP, or another ERP, and want procurement processes that work across it.

Look at something else when

  • Your purchasing is limited and handled well inside your ERP: the procurement functions of SAP S/4HANA may be enough.
  • What you need is production planning or logistics rather than procurement tools.
  • Supplier adoption is your main worry: plan supplier onboarding early; we help with that.

How we deliver

How Abrimatt delivers Ariba

Every engagement runs in phases, so the business sees progress and risks surface early. The timescale for each phase is set after an assessment, not before.

  1. Assess

Review spend, categories, suppliers and the current procurement process to decide what to put in first.

  2. Design

Scope the applications, design approval flows and catalogs, and define the integration with your ERP.

  3. Configure and integrate

Configure the applications and connect them to your ERP through standard integration options or SAP BTP.

  4. Onboard suppliers

Bring suppliers on in planned waves, with clear guidance and support.

  5. Go live

Train buyers and approvers, run the first cycles with close support, and fix what the business finds.

  6. Optimize

Use spend and performance data to widen scope and tighten compliance.

Questions we are asked

Ariba: questions and answers

Do we need SAP ERP to use SAP Ariba?

No. SAP Ariba integrates with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC and with other ERP systems, using standard integration options. The integration design is part of the project.

What is the SAP Business Network?

SAP's online network where buyers and suppliers exchange orders, invoices and other documents. SAP Ariba applications use it to connect a buyer to its suppliers.

How do suppliers get involved?

Suppliers join and transact through the network. Getting them onboarded in planned waves, with clear guidance and support, is one of the biggest factors in how well a rollout works.

Start the conversation

See where your spend goes, and put it under control.

Tell us how purchasing works today: who can buy what, how suppliers are chosen and how invoices are approved. We will show you where a governed process would change the picture.

  • Where uncontrolled spend and supplier risk are most likely to sit
  • Which SAP Ariba applications to start with, and which to leave for later
  • How the integration with your ERP would work, and what the suppliers would be asked to do

What happens next

A short form or a call: what you run today, and what is getting in the way.

  2. We review it with you

A named consultant looks at your situation and talks through the options and what each would involve.

  3. You decide what comes next

You leave with a clear picture and a recommended scope you can take to your team.
