Warehousing & logistics · scanning, tracking and sensors

Know what is on the shelf, on the road and in the cold room.

We connect handheld barcode scanners, RFID readers and temperature and other sensors to your stock records, so that goods are recorded as they move: received, put away, picked, dispatched and counted. The data flows into your ERP, including SAP inventory, so that the stock you see is the stock you hold, and alerts reach people when something is out of range.

Capabilities

What Smart Warehouse & Logistics covers

  • Barcode and RFID scanning

Goods recorded as they are received, moved, picked and dispatched, by a scan and not by hand.

  • Bin and location tracking

Know where each item is stored, so that picking is quicker and counts are easier.

  • Temperature and condition sensors

Monitor cold rooms, freezers and storage areas, with a record that shows conditions over time.

  • Dispatch and delivery coordination

Orders, loads and delivery status in one view, shared with the people who need them.

  • ERP and inventory sync

Movements posted to your ERP, including SAP inventory, so that stock and accounts agree.

  • Alerts and exceptions

A message to the right person when a reading is out of range, a shipment is late or stock runs low.

Is it the right one?

Where it fits, and where it does not

We would rather you choose the right thing than the one we happen to be discussing.

A strong fit when

  • Stock counts in your system differ from what is on the shelf.
  • Goods that need cold storage are checked by hand, if at all.
  • Picking and dispatch depend on paper lists and on people's memory.
  • You hold stock in several places and cannot see it all at once.

Look at something else when

  • You have one small store room and a spreadsheet that works: a simpler step may be enough.
  • You have no stock system yet: get the stock records right first, then connect the hardware.
  • You want a complete warehouse management system: we connect devices to your ERP and can advise on whether you need one.

How we deliver

How Abrimatt delivers Warehouse & Logistics

Every engagement runs in phases, so the business sees progress and risks surface early. The timescale for each phase is set after an assessment, not before.

  1. Walk the floor

See how goods move today, where the delays and the errors happen, and what conditions matter.

  2. Choose the hardware

Pick the scanners, readers and sensors that suit the environment, and test them on site.

  3. Design the flow

Define what is scanned at each step, what is posted to the ERP and what raises an alert.

  4. Connect

Connect the devices to your ERP and test the failures, such as lost signal, as well as the normal flow.

  5. Pilot

Run one area or one process first, with the team that works there, and tune it.

  6. Extend

Extend to the other areas and sites, and use the data to improve how the warehouse runs.

Questions we are asked

Warehouse & Logistics: questions and answers

Does it work with SAP?

Yes. Movements can be posted to SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business One and other ERP systems through their standard interfaces, so that the stock you see in SAP matches what is on the shelf.

Can we keep the scanners we already have?

Often yes. We check what you own, and connect it where we can. Where equipment is too old or does not suit the job, we say so and recommend what to replace.

How does cold-chain monitoring work?

Sensors measure temperature, and sometimes humidity, at the intervals you need, and send readings to a system that keeps the record and raises an alert when a reading leaves its range. We set the ranges and the people to alert with you.
