Infrastructure · Azure and Microsoft 365

Cloud services designed, migrated and managed with security and cost in view.

We design, migrate and manage workloads on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365: assessing what to move, building the foundations, migrating in rehearsed waves, setting up backup and failover, and putting cost control in place. We also take over environments that have grown without a plan, and bring them under control.

What you get

What is included in Cloud Services

  • Workload migration to Azure

Servers, databases and applications moved in planned waves, rehearsed and verified.

  • Microsoft 365 tenant design and migration

Email, files and Teams moved to a well-designed tenant, including moves between tenants after a merger.

  • Cloud backup and failover

Backup and recovery designed for the cloud, with failover for what cannot wait.

  • Identity and security

Sign-in, access and protection set up properly from the start.

  • Cost optimization

Right-sizing and clean-up of what runs, and reporting that makes spend visible.

  • Management

Ongoing monitoring, patching and support, if you want us to run it.

Is it the right one?

Where it fits, and where it does not

We would rather you choose the right thing than the one we happen to be discussing.

A strong fit when

  • Your servers are ageing and need replacing.
  • You want people to work securely from anywhere.
  • Cloud accounts have grown without a plan, and bills surprise you.
  • Two organizations are joining and must share one Microsoft 365 environment.

Look at something else when

  • Regulation or latency means some workloads must stay on site: a hybrid design covers it.
  • An application cannot run in the cloud as it is: modernize it first (see Legacy System Modernization).
  • You want the cloud only to cut cost: it can, with discipline, but it is not automatic.

How we run it

How we run Cloud Services

Every engagement runs in phases, so the business sees progress and risks surface early. The timescale for each phase is set after an assessment, not before.

  1. Assess

Take stock of what you run, how it connects, what it costs and what condition it is in.

  2. Design

Design the foundations, security, backup and cost controls before anything moves.

  3. Migrate in waves

Move one group at a time, rehearsing each and keeping a way back.

  4. Verify

Check each move, keep the old system until the new one has proved itself.

  5. Control cost

Right-size, schedule and clean up, and set up regular spend reports.

  6. Run

Monitor and support the environment yourselves, or with us.

Questions we are asked

Cloud Services: questions and answers

Do we have to use Microsoft Azure?

We work mainly with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, and we are open about it. If another platform suits you better, we say so, and tell you where our experience lies.

How do you keep a migration safe?

By assessing first, protecting what moves with backup, rehearsing every wave, keeping a rollback and verifying before the old system is switched off.

Can you help us understand and reduce our cloud bill?

Yes. We review what runs and what it costs, remove what is unused, right-size what remains and set up reporting so that spend stays visible. We do not promise a figure, because it depends on what you find.

Start the conversation

Move to the cloud, or take control of what is already there.

Tell us what you run and what is driving the change: ageing servers, a merger or a bill you do not understand. We will say what an assessment would show and what we would do first.

  • A view of what to move, what to keep and what to retire
  • The foundations, security and cost controls we would set up first
  • A wave plan with a way back for each step

What happens next

  1. Tell us where you are

A short form or a call: what you run today, and what is getting in the way.

  2. We review it with you

A named consultant looks at your situation and talks through the options and what each would involve.

  3. You decide what comes next

You leave with a clear picture and a recommended scope you can take to your team.
