Networks · wired, wireless and SD-WAN

A network built for the traffic you carry, and for the day a link goes down.

We design and deploy corporate networks: structured cabling, switching and routing, enterprise Wi-Fi, secure site-to-site VPN and SD-WAN between your offices, warehouses and the cloud. We size them for the traffic you really carry, prioritize what matters, segment them for security, and build in the redundancy that lets a link or a switch fail without stopping the business. We work with Cisco, including Meraki, and with other enterprise equipment.

Capabilities

What Enterprise Networks & SD-WAN covers

  • Switching and routing

The core of the network, specified for your traffic and built with the redundancy that matters.

  • Enterprise Wi-Fi

Coverage and capacity designed from a survey of the building and the number of devices, not guessed.

  • Site links and SD-WAN

Secure connections between offices, warehouses and the cloud, with more than one path.

  • Segmentation

Separate networks for staff, guests, devices and servers, so that a problem in one stays in one.

  • Prioritization and monitoring

Priority for what matters, such as voice and business applications, and monitoring that shows problems early.

  • Cabling and documentation

Clean, labelled cabling and documents that someone else can pick up.

Is it the right one?

Where it fits, and where it does not

We would rather you choose the right thing than the one we happen to be discussing.

A strong fit when

  • Wi-Fi is patchy or slow where people work.
  • Offices and sites connect over links that fail, or are slow.
  • You are opening, moving or expanding a site.
  • You want guest, staff and device networks kept apart.

Look at something else when

  • Your network is sound and the problem is an application: we will say so after a short review, and look elsewhere.
  • You want the cheapest possible network: a network built to a price tends to be built without redundancy.
  • Most of your work is in the cloud and your sites are small: a simpler design may serve, and we will say so.

How we deliver

How Abrimatt delivers Networks

Every engagement runs in phases, so the business sees progress and risks surface early. The timescale for each phase is set after an assessment, not before.

  1. Survey

Walk the sites, measure the coverage, map the traffic and list the devices.

  2. Design

Design the cabling, the equipment, the segments and the redundancy to match.

  3. Specify

Specify the equipment and the work, so that the cost and the scope are clear.

  4. Install and configure

Install and configure, with the cutover planned to avoid downtime for your people.

  5. Test and document

Test the failures as well as the successes, and write everything down.

  6. Monitor and support

Monitor the network, review it regularly and extend it as you grow.

Questions we are asked

Networks: questions and answers

What is SD-WAN and do we need it?

SD-WAN manages the links between your sites, choosing the best path and combining connections for resilience. It suits organizations with several sites that depend on the cloud. For one or two sites, a simpler design may be enough, and we will say so.

How do you design Wi-Fi that works?

From a survey of the building and the devices, not a guess. We place access points for coverage and for capacity, set the channels and the security, and test the result where people actually work.

Can you work without disrupting the business?

We plan the cutover with you, usually outside working hours, and test beforehand. Where some interruption cannot be avoided we say so in advance and agree when it will happen.

Start the conversation

Build a network the business can rely on.

Tell us about your sites, how many people and devices connect, and what goes wrong now. We will show you what a survey would look at, and what a resilient design would involve.

  • A survey of coverage, traffic and weak points
  • A design with redundancy where it counts
  • A cutover plan that protects your working day

What happens next

  1. Tell us where you are

A short form or a call: what you run today, and what is getting in the way.

  2. We review it with you

A named consultant looks at your situation and talks through the options and what each would involve.

  3. You decide what comes next

You leave with a clear picture and a recommended scope you can take to your team.
