Cloud · strategy and migration on Microsoft Azure

Move to the cloud on a plan: what to move, when, and what it will cost to run.

We assess what you run today and decide with you what belongs in Microsoft Azure, what stays on site and what to retire. We design the foundations, the security and the cost controls before anything moves, then migrate in waves with backup and failover designed in, and set up the monitoring and cost reporting that keep the cloud healthy and affordable afterwards.

Capabilities

What Cloud Strategy & Migration covers

  • Cloud strategy

Decide what belongs in the cloud, what stays on site and what to retire, and why.

  • Workload assessment

Map your servers, applications, data and dependencies, and find what is ready to move and what is not.

  • Architecture and foundations

Design the identity, network, security and structure that every workload will sit on.

  • Migration in waves

Move workloads in planned groups, rehearsing each one and keeping a way back.

  • Backup and failover

Protect what you move, and design what happens when something fails.

  • Cost control

Model costs before you commit, right-size what you run, and report spend so surprises are seen early.

Is it the right one?

Where it fits, and where it does not

We would rather you choose the right thing than the one we happen to be discussing.

A strong fit when

  • Your servers are ageing, and the cost and risk of replacing them is rising.
  • You want people to work securely from anywhere.
  • Cloud accounts have grown without a plan, and the bills surprise you.
  • You need resilience that one office server room cannot give.

Look at something else when

  • Regulation, latency or data-residency rules require some workloads to stay on site: a hybrid design handles that, and we will say which.
  • An application cannot run in the cloud as it is: modernize it first, or leave it where it is (see Legacy System Modernization).
  • You want the cloud only to save money: it can, with discipline, but it is not automatic.

How we deliver

How Abrimatt delivers Cloud Migration

Every engagement runs in phases, so the business sees progress and risks surface early. The timescale for each phase is set after an assessment, not before.

  1. Assess

Take stock of what you run, how it connects, what it costs and what condition it is in.

  2. Decide

Agree what moves, what stays, what is retired and in which order.

  3. Design

Design the foundations, the security, the backup and the cost controls before any move.

  4. Migrate in waves

Move one group of workloads at a time, rehearsing each and keeping a rollback.

  5. Cut over and verify

Switch over with your people ready, check the result and keep the old system until you are sure.

  6. Operate and tune

Monitor health and spend, tune what you run, and plan the next wave.

Questions we are asked

Cloud Migration: questions and answers

Will moving to the cloud save us money?

It can, but it is not automatic. The cloud moves cost from buying hardware to paying for use, and it saves money when workloads are sized and managed with care. We model the costs before you commit and set up reporting afterwards, so that surprises are visible early.

Do we have to move everything?

No. Many organizations keep some workloads on site for good reasons. A hybrid design connects the two securely, and we recommend what to move and what to keep.

How do you keep a migration safe?

By assessing first, protecting what you move with backup, rehearsing each wave, keeping a way back and verifying after cutover. The old system stays until the new one has proved itself.

Start the conversation

Plan your move to the cloud before you make it.

Tell us what you run, where it runs and what worries you about moving it. We will say what we would move first, what we would keep, and what it would cost to run.

  • A view of which workloads belong in the cloud and which do not
  • The foundations, security and cost controls we would design first
  • A wave plan, with a way back for each step

What happens next

  1. Tell us where you are

A short form or a call: what you run today, and what is getting in the way.

  2. We review it with you

A named consultant looks at your situation and talks through the options and what each would involve.

  3. You decide what comes next

You leave with a clear picture and a recommended scope you can take to your team.
